Junior Audition Workshop
Facilitated by Axiom Children's Theatre
Grades 2-8

Saturday, May 7th

10am - 2pm

Students will experience the musical theatre audition process by learning two audition songs suitable for future opportunities, script reading exercises and etiquette, and a choreographed dance. They will learn how to present themselves and how to deal with stage fright and nervousness.

Join the staff of Axiom Children's Theatre for a summer on the stage! This new program allows high school students the opportunity to perform while learning to operate as an ensemble. Directed by Jessica Fletcher and produced by Lizzie Stoxen, students will rehearse and perform the play "Every Brilliant Thing" and learn technical and performance skills in the process.

Intended for singers and actors who are serious about improving their craft, to be held in Master Class format. Each week students will attend a group class featuring 3-4 performances by members of the group. The instructor will then work with the student on polishing and improving their performance while the class observes, and shares their thoughts. The focus of these master classes is for performers to learn from and encourage each other while getting focused critique and performance practice.
